We started the day by running off the train and catching breakfast at a café. We then drove a couple of hours to Amboise. It is a nice château, kind of small, quaint. We bought chocolates and had a makeshift breakfast. Next was Chonenceau. This place was bigger, better, and took us more than an hour to tour. We ate lunch here too. Hamburger and fries for me. The huge Chambord was about an hour away. In the château there was a double spiral staircase where you will never meet the other side. It took about an hour to tour it, we were in a hurry to get back to Paris for dinner. And for dinner we had salad, salmon, potatoes and carrots, and a really good chocolate pudding. After dinner we headed back to the hotel for 15 minutes and then rode the Métro to the Tour Eiffel for a scenic boat ride. It was a good overview of most of the sights in Paris. It sprinkled some but was just a minor annoyance. We then rode the Métro back to the hotel.
